The Stage 3 maths group have been having fun testing each other using fly flips this week. They can now quickly recognise patterns to 10 when 5 is one of the numbers.

Whanaungatanga Day

We had a fun day on Friday with our whanau at school.

We started with a bouncy castle!

Then we cooled down with a swim and a water slide.

We practised our soccer skills at Tawaraunui

And boogied at the disco

The fabulous day ended with a sausage sizzle

Planting, harvesting, playdough, chalk and rainbows

Week 2 has been busy. We planted some wildflower seeds in our garden box and harvested peruperu from last year. We also made playdough, enjoyed the beautiful weather outside with chalk writing. After reading Nanny Mihi and the Rainbow we made our own colourful rainbows with paint and collage.

Welcome to 2017

Our first two days at school were spent getting to know each other and our new classroom. We can't wait to meet the rest of the class after the Waitangi Day long weekend.
