Force, thrust, drag and weight

We have been learning about Newton's first law of motion: if a body is at rest or moving at a constant speed in a straight line, it will remain at rest or keep moving in a straight line at constant speed unless it is acted upon by a force.

We went outside with Room 11 (our Wonder Project buddies) to to test this out. We threw, rolled and bounced the ball using different amounts of force.

Space virtual world

We had our second visit to Waitangi where we used all the skills we learned last week to create 3D objects for our virtual world.

Whaea Kelly (Caitlin's Mum) took photos of us all using the Greenscreen. Then Whaea Karen put us all in space!

There are a few videos because the world was so vast it was easy to get lost.

Dancing

Wow, Term 2 has started already!

We had a Teacher Only Day on Monday.

Tuesday started with a dance lesson from DDF Dance Studio. It was a lot of fun. They had some scholarships to give away for students who competed on stage and a few Room 3 students made it through to the elimination round. We all learned some new moves for the dance floor.
