Whaea Nikolai from St Johns taught us what to do if somebody is unconcious. We also found out how important it is to know our full address in case we need to dial 111 for an emergency.

Manuhiri
We had some exciting visitors to our school this week. Portia Woodman came to talk to us on Thursday. She was very inspiring and had good messages for us about following our dreams.
Calais asked "What is your favourite plant?" and we found out it is a kauri tree.
Aurora was wondering "Do you feel confident after a game?" Portia told us about her team-mates who are all her friends. They get to travel the world and play rugby together. We were buzzing for the rest of the day!
We also had a visit from the Excel School of Performing Arts.
They entertained us with music and dance and repeated Portia's message about following your heart to achieve the things you want from life. Believe in yourself!

The Little Red Hen
We have been learning all about the Little Red Hen this week. Aurora retold the introduction with some extra detail and then read the story with lots of expression:
We are learning to self-assess. If we are proud of our work we put a camera in our books, then Mrs Bingham knows to take a photo and share our work.
